- For similar vowels such as ㅐ and ㅔ, pair the printed spelling with the sound.
- Mix in one or two unfamiliar syllables to check decoding rather than memorization.
- Move to Book 3 when roughly eight of ten open-syllable words feel comfortable.

Before you print
Must Book 1 be completely finished first?
No. Use the first unit of Book 2 as a readiness check when basic letters are already familiar.
What if ㅐ and ㅔ sound the same to the learner?
That is common. Teach the printed word and letter shape together instead of relying on a listening test alone.
Is the small amount of copying enough?
Reading and handwriting develop at different rates. Slow writing does not need to block the next reading activity.
